CCTV cameras that were installed in a Dublin park four years ago have never been turned on.

Their absence is being partly blamed for continued anti-social behaviour in Tolka Valley Park.

Dessie Ellis, a TD for the area, has described it as a "terrible and needless waste."

He said: "We've had issues with quad bikes and motorbikes and the pitches being damaged.

"The people who are walking in the park are often afraid because of the bikes flying up and down so I am pretty annoyed that this hasn't been resolved."
