Cashel nurses begin protest over low staff levels

More than 100 nurses at Our Lady’s Hospital in Cashel, Co Tipperary, are working under protest today as part of a dispute over staffing levels.

More than 100 nurses at Our Lady’s Hospital in Cashel, Co Tipperary, are working under protest today as part of a dispute over staffing levels.

The nurses have accused the South Eastern Health Board of failing to implement recommendations on staff levels at the hospital.

The Irish Nurses Organisation said independent experts had declared the hospital grossly understaffed.

The organisation said the nurses in Cashel would continue their protest until staff levels had been increased.
