Two men have been arrested after cannabis worth €60,000 was seized in Tralee, County Kerry today.

Two men have been arrested after cannabis worth €60,000 was seized in Tralee, County Kerry today.

3 kilos of the drug was found when a number of premises were searched this morning as part of an ongoing investigation into drug importations in the town.

The drugs originated in Thailand and had been concealed in household linen.

Gardaí arrested two men, aged 43 and 27, and brought them to Tralee Garda Station for questioning where they were detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice ( Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996.

Gardaí say investigations are continuing.
