Cannabis worth €1.75m was seized during a raid on a company premises today.

Cannabis worth €1.75m was seized during a raid on a company premises today.

Drugs detectives recovered the 2.5 kilo haul during a planned search of the business in Balbriggan, north Co Dublin.

A 47-year-old man was arrested at around 11am and taken to the town’s Garda station for questioning.

He is being held under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

The Garda National Drugs Unit spearheaded the search with help from local officers in Balbriggan.
