Campaigners protest sale of Israeli products at Smyths

Protestors gathered outside a Smyths Toy shop in Dublin over the sale of products from Israel today.

Around 50 protesters lay down outside the store in Jervis Street over Israel's recent bombardment of Gaza.

The protestors handed a letter into the store while five lay down at the main entrance and two more people lay on the road.

Customers were still able to come and go into the shop, while gardaí made sure that the road was not blocked to traffic.

The protesters later mounted a sit down protest in the Jervis Street shopping Centre, before taking Israeli products off the shelves at Tesco in the centre.
