CAB sells Gilligan's equestrian centre after 16 years

It is understood that the Criminal Assets Bureau has agreed the sale of the equestrian centre formerly owned by convicted criminal John Gilligan.

The Jessbrook Centre in County Kildare had been the centre of a 16-year legal battle, before the Supreme Court gave the green light for it to be put on the market.

It had gone on sale earlier this year, with a guide price of €500,000.

Gilligan was recently released from prison having served 17 years for drug trafficking.
