Joan Burton has emerged as the frontrunner in the first opinion poll on the Labour leadership.
The Millward Brown poll for tomorrow's Sunday Independent shows 71% of Labour supporters wanted to see Minister Burton as Labour leader.
However her rival Alex White is the more popular choice for Labour leader among people who described themselves as Sinn Féin voters, while almost half of those surveyed said they weren't happy with either candidate.
Some 1,019 voters were questioned in the poll on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week.
