Bruton: Nothing wrong with Enterprise Ireland's expenses

The Minister for Jobs, Richard Bruton, said he is satisfied with the expenses regime at Enterprise Ireland.

The Minister for Jobs, Richard Bruton, said he is satisfied with the expenses regime at Enterprise Ireland.

An internal report at the agency raised concerns about a number of expense claims by staff and the failure of adequate documentation to support them.

However, Bruton said he is not concerned that anything untoward has occurred.

"This is a report that is internal that Enterprise Ireland themselves conducted, and they've brought it to their board, and acted on all of the recommendations," he said.

"They have assured us that no payment was made that wasn't fully documented and authorised."
