A body discovered at a quarry in Co Clare this morning has been identified as that of Adrian Folan.

Body found near Cliffs of Moher identified as missing Athlone man

A body discovered at a quarry in Co Clare this morning has been identified as that of Adrian Folan.

Folan, 41, had been missing from Athlone since July 3. The body has been removed from the scene to Limerick Regional Hospital, where a post mortem will take place later today.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have seen "anything unusual of suspicious" near the quarry at Kilconnel, Liscannor, at and time since July 3.
