Two more people will be added to the list of those honoured with the Freedom of the City of Dublin award this evening.

Homelessness campaigner Father Peter McVerry and rugby star Brian O'Driscoll will receive their awards at a ceremony in the Mansion House.

They are both being recognised for their contribution to the life of the city.

Father Peter McVerry has said it is an honour to join names like Nelson Mandela and Aung San Suu Kyi.
