Berlusconi told: You can't go to Dublin

Silvio Berlusconi's request to travel to Dublin this week has been denied.

A court in Milan today said it would not grant the former Prime Minister permission to leave Italy.

Mr Berlusconi's passport was confiscated last year after he was convicted of tax fraud.

In December, he lost a court challenge to have the passport returned to him.

Mr Berlusconi was hoping to attend the European People's Party conference which takes place in Dublin on Thursday and Friday.
