Traffic restrictions in Belfast, including those to the Dublin train service, have been lifted following the discovery of a viable explosive device in the city this morning.

The PSNI confirmed that the device, found on Donegall Avenue, was removed from the scene by a bomb disposal squad for examination.

It is the second explosive to be found in the area this weekend, following the discovery of a viable pipe bomb on Friday evening.
