Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Belfast.

Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Belfast.

A man was assaulted by a group of men in the Roden Street area just before 2am today.

He was taken to hospital with injuries to his head, back and arms but is said to be in a stable condition.

In particular, detectives would like to speak to a man who was driving a taxi in the area at the time.
