Gardaí have said two people being held in Ballymun Garda Station in Dublin had to be evacuated this morning due to flooding.

Ballymun gardaí forced to move detainees over flooding

Gardaí have said two people being held in Ballymun Garda Station in Dublin had to be evacuated this morning due to flooding.

The detainees were transferred from their cells to another garda station after flood water of up to 10mm covered the floors in the station.

The station is now fully operational following the precautionary measure.
