A 30-year-old man who raped two young girls who were lured from a children's birthday party in Co Westmeath is to be sentenced in March.

A 30-year-old man who raped two young girls who were lured from a children's birthday party in Co Westmeath is to be sentenced in March.

The accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had been sent forward on signed pleas of guilty to the Central Criminal Court from Athlone District Court last week.

He will be sentenced on March 3 for five charges of raping the girls, aged six and nine years old.
