Asking prices for houses have fallen by almost 6% in the past three months alone, according to the latest statistics from the property website Daft.ie.
The website says the average asking price for a house is now €263,000, down 19% in the past 12 months and down 23% since the peak of the property boom in 2007.
The actual value of properties could be down even more than this as the figures do not reveal the final sale price of houses and apartments.
Elsewhere, Daft.ie says the average time for a house to sell has increased from six weeks during the boom to around seven months at the moment.
Dublin city centre has seen the sharpest fall in the past three months, with asking prices down 11%, compared to 6% in Cork and 4% in Limerick.
Prices in Galway and Waterford were down just over 2%, while asking prices outside the main cities fell by almost 5%.
