Police investigating terrorism by dissident republicans in Northern Ireland arrested a man in Lancashire, England today.

Armagh man arrested in England in connection with dissident activity

Police investigating terrorism by dissident republicans in Northern Ireland arrested a man in Lancashire, England today.

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s serious crime branch and officers belonging to the North West counter terrorism unit were involved in the operation to detain the man.

He comes from Lurgan, Co Armagh, and will be taken to the Antrim serious crime suite for questioning.

It is understood that the incidents under investigation date back several years.
