Crimestoppers are appealing for information on the theft of a railway signal cable which severely disrupted DART services in Dublin today.

Commuters faced rush hour disruption after DART services were suspended for hours between Bray in North Wicklow and Dalkey in South County Dublin.

Gardaí are investigating the theft of the cable in the Shankill area.
