Appeal for information on hit-and-run which has left teenager in intensive care

A father whose 14-year-old son was seriously injured following a hit-and-run in Dublin earlier this week has renewed his appeal for information.

Sean O'Reilly was cycling home just before nine on Sunday night when he was knocked down on Cheeverstown Road in Tallaght.

He remains in intensive care.

Sean's dad, John O'Reilly, is asking anyone with information to come forward.

“I've never experienced anything like it and I wouldn’t like anybody to experience what I experienced that night,” said Mr O'Reilly.

“To see your son screaming in pain, not knowing what’ll happen to him, it was just… I wouldn’t wish it on anybody.

“If anyone has any information, contact Tallaght Garda Station.”

Tallaght Garda Station is available on 01 6666000 or you can call the Garda Confidental Line on 1800 666 111.
