Animal rights activists have made a splash on Dublin's O'Connell Street this morning.

Animal rights activists have made a splash on Dublin's O'Connell Street this morning.

Members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) sat in a bathtub to highlight the drain on water resources by the meat industry.

PETA claims that processing one steak uses the equivalent of 50 bathtubs of water.

World Water Day takes place tomorrow and the group wants to highlight the fact that the meat industry uses large amounts of water.
