Bertie Ahern has completed his two days of evidence at the Planning and Payments Tribunal.

However, he will return next Thursday to face further questions about money lodgements made on his behalf in 1994 and 1995.

Much of today's exchanges focused on the minutiae surrounding lodgements and withdrawals of money.

A transfer of £50,000 from a Bertie Ahern account to a Celia Larkin account was probed at length.

An attempt by Mr Ahern's legal team for a sitting tomorrow in order to complete the questioning was rejected.
