Aer Rianta hit back at security claim

Aer Rianta has hit-back at allegations that the safety of passengers at Dublin Airport is being compromised.

Aer Rianta has hit-back at allegations that the safety of passengers at Dublin Airport is being compromised.

The trade union representing staff at two airlines operating routes to and from Dublin, SIPTU, claimed that employees are being hired without stringent security examinations.

SIPTU says that while Cityjet ground staff are involved in a dispute with management, the workers that have been brought in to replace them have not been properly checked out.

Aer Rianta has refuted this suggestion by insisting that they would never allow this to happen and that there is no danger to passenger safety.
