Aer Lingus talks break up without agreement

Talks aimed at averting strike action at Aer Lingus next week have been adjourned for the night without agreement.

The discussions between management at the airline and the pilots union IALPA will resume at the Labour Relations Commission in Dublin tomorrow afternoon.

Pilots are threatening to begin industrial action on Tuesday as part of a dispute over rostering arrangements which the airline's staff claim is due to staff shortages.

Aer Lingus Director of Human Resources, Michael Greally, said the talks are moving in the right direction.
