The Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams has said the reform of the Gardaí cannot take place under the Justice Minister Alan Shatter.
Mr Adams says he intends to support the upcoming motion of no-confidence in Alan Shatter which Fianna Fáil will table on Wednesday,
He says Minister Shatter has been at the centre of a string of scandals involving the Gardaí and the justice system.
Deputy Adams says the Taoiseach Enda Kenny needs to put loyalty to Minister Shatter aside, and do what is best for the country.
