AA warns against drink-driving

Motorists are being advised not to drink and drive, by the Automobile Association.

The AA is reminding people to ensure they plan their night well in advance.

People are also being asked to make sure they appoint a designated driver.

Arwen Foley from the AA said: "The AA's message this Christmas, I suppose quite similar to most years, never ever drink and drive.

"The gardaí will be out in force this Christmas, but not only that, it's extremely dangerous to get behind the wheel if you've had even one drink, it's still very dangerous".
