AA warn motorists on icy Christmas morning
AA Roadwatch is cautioning motorists that there is a lot of frost and ice in various parts of the country today.
Extra care is needed when driving, with most roads recording temperatures below zero.
In Longford there are icy conditions on the Longford to Lanesborough Rd at Mount Dillon and motorists are advised to drive with extreme caution.
In Cork, there is very bad ice and fog on roads around Mitchelstown, Rathcormac and Fermoy with a number of incidents already reported.
Finally, on the M8 Dublin/ Cork Rd southbound, traffic is down to one lane between Junctions 11 and 12 following an accident.
