A woman has been killed in a road accident in County Kerry.

A woman has been killed in a road accident in County Kerry.

Gardai say the 90-year-old pedestrian died after a collision with a car at Spunkane in Waterville last night at about 8.40pm.

The 22-year-old driver of the car was uninjured, while woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination but has since re-opened. Gardai at Cahirciveen are appealing for witnesses.
