60 jobs to go as Indo ends contract with outsourced copy-editing company

Up to 60 jobs are to go at a Dublin-based company which provides editorial services for the publishing industry.

Real-time Editing and Design Limited employs 150 people at offices in Dublin and Belfast.

It provides sub-contracted copy editing services for newspaper publishers, including Independent Newspapers.

RE&D Managing Director Terry Kavanagh told RTÉ News that Independent Newspapers had decided not to renew its contract with RE&D and the company would be closing its Dublin office as a result.

The job losses will take effect from the end of March.
