€500,000 in Dublin Bus refunds unclaimed after strike
Refunds worth €500,000 have yet to be collected by commuters after the Dublin Bus strike.
According to today's Irish Times, 13,000 passengers are owed money because the buses went off the roads for six days in September.
Only a quarter of the 17,000 people with annual commuter tickets have applied for their €40 refund which is due as a result of the dispute.
Dublin Bus, which is issuing the refunds, said that for each day industrial action took place customers will be refunded €5.50 and for each day that services ended at 9pm, customers will be refunded €2.30.
Customers who have an annual or monthly Irish Rail point to point ticket with feeder service will be refunded a total of €15.00.
Customers can collect their refund at our Head Office on 59, Upper O’Connell Street. Refunds should be claimed once the dispute is resolved.
