40 new jobs are to come on stream at BioMarin manufacturing in Shanbally over the next year

The announcement was made by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton who was at the plant to launch the commissioning phase of manufacturing operations.

A further 65 construction jobs to be created in the next building phase at the facility and that will begin in March.

Speaking today Senior Vice President of BioMarin Eric Davis said one of the reasons they chose to locate themselves in Cork is because of the skilled workforce available.
