25 jobs to be created as Slane Castle builds distillery
Slane Castle is building its very own distillery.
While the Mountcharles family have been selling whiskey since 2009 - they did not have their own distillery - and had been working with Cooley to make their own product.
However after securing investment, the family have decided to go ahead and distill their very own spirits.
25 long-term jobs will be created at the distillery and visitor centre - which is set to open in 2015.
