A 22-year-old man is due in court this morning charged in connection with the death of a young man in Cabra.

Jason Saunders died in hospital after being found unconscious on Fassaugh Avenue two days ago.

Just after 7am on the morning after St Patrick's Day, a passerby found Jason slumped outside a shop on Fassaugh Avenue.

The 21-year-old was rushed to the Mater hospital but lost his fight for life a short time later.

A post mortem revealed he suffered serious trauma to the head and body.

Two young men were arrested in the hours after his death and one of them was released from Garda custody yesterday.

The other was charged in relation to Jason's death and is due to appear in court this morning.
