17 more legal actions over cervical cancer have emerged.

They are separate to the 40 claims relating to the Cervical Check screening controversy - and were revealed at a Public Accounts Committee hearing yesterday.

It is understood these new cases surround alleged misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis in hospitals.
