'X Factor' role for Ora

Rita Ora has been asked to join 'The X Factor' judging panel.

Rita Ora has been asked to join 'The X Factor' judging panel.

The 'R.I.P.' hitmaker was a guest panelist on the show last year before Nicole Scherzinger was appointed in a permanent role alongside Louis Walsh, Tulisa and Gary Barlow, and now she has revealed she was asked to return for the upcoming series, meaning at least one current judge is unlikely to be back.

Rita turned down the offer, but insists she will "never say never" to the job.

She said: "There were talks [in the past few months].

"But if I were to take on that role it would have to be at a point when I could give it my full attention.

"I have so much to accomplish first and it's kind of a full-time job being on 'X Factor'.

"It's not like a nine to five. It's constant, for months."

The 22-year-old singer thinks it is important to fully establish her own music career before tackling such a role.

She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Not that I have anything against it. I love it but if I was to take on a full-time role it would be at a point when I'm loads of albums in."

And Rita would love to return again as a guest judge.

She admitted: "Being a guest is easier - you can say, 'Yes', to people and not have to mentor them."
