Thomas set for 'Shameless' role
Imogen Thomas has landed a cameo role in 'Shameless'.
The brunette model – known for an alleged relationship with married Manchester United star Ryan Giggs – will appear in the next series of the Channel 4 drama, which will appear on screens this autumn.
After filming scenes on the fictional Chatsworth Estate in Manchester, which is the home of the notorious Gallagher clan, show sources said Thomas was "a natural".
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Imogen was a natural, you'd never know she had never acted before.
"She was really down-to-earth and up for anything. She never complained and she didn't mind sending herself up."
However, Thomas isn't the only star keen to land a role in 'Shameless', as 'Downton Abbey' actor Hugh Bonneville – who portrays aristocratic Lord Grantham in the ITV1 period drama – recently admitted he would love to play a character who is the "complete opposite" of himself.
When asked if he would like to be in 'Shameless', he replied: "God, I'd love to be given that opportunity, absolutely, who wouldn't?
"Every actor would love to be the complete opposite of what they are."
