Liam Neeson has been voted Ireland's best actor according to a poll carried out by Sky Movies HD, to mark Saint Patrick's Day.
The 'Schindler's List' star scooped 20% of the vote, ahead of Peter O'Toole of 'Lawrence of Arabia' fame in second place on 9%.
Colin Farrell - who starred in movies like 'Minority Report' and 'Phone Booth' - came in third, with 7.6%, while Oscar-winner Brenda Fricker was the best loved Irish actress - in seventh place overall on 4.6%.
Despite highly acclaimed roles, neither Michael Fassbender nor Cillian Murphy managed to make the top 10.
To celebrate St Patrick’s Day 2012, Sky Movies HD asked over 1,000 Irish and UK residents about their favourite Irish screen stars.
The channel is dedicating the entire March 17-18 weekend to films with Irish talent including Neeson’s films 'A-Team', 'Clash of the Titans' and 'Schindler’s List'.
