A date with Mel B has been auctioned off for £15,000 (€18,600) - to her husband.

The former Spice Girls singer's lucky spouse Stephen Belafonte snapped up the full 'Mel B experience' at the Nobel Gift Gala in Central London on Saturday after outbidding several other hopefuls, winning a coveted meet-and-greet with his wife.

Stephen - who is based in Australia with Mel and her three daughters Phoenix Chi, 13, Angel, five, and 15-month-old Madison - wasn't prepared to share the 37-year-old star with anyone and was determined to win the top prize at the charity auction, which also landed him two tickets to the Spice Girls musical 'Viva Forever!'.

Meanwhile, Mel recently confessed she had had violent "punch-ups" with her fellow 'Wannabe' hitmakers in their heyday, but despite her tempestuous relationship with Geri Halliwell, Victoria Beckham, Mel C, and Emma Bunton, she still loves them unconditionally.

The feisty singer revealed: "You know what? Me and Victoria are fine now. It's like any relationship with her and me. We fight, we argue, we make up… it's always been like that. It's been like that with all five of us over the years.

"I've had punch-ups with Mel C in the past. But we have unconditional love for each other underneath it all."
