Having made a name for himself on ITV's Love Island, Dr Alex George, who is currently working on the frontline with the NHS, has been named as the new resident doctor of Virgin Media's Six O'Clock Show.
Last week, UK prime minister Boris Johnston also named him a Youth Mental Health Ambassador, advocating for better mental health services following the death of his younger brother last year.

Dr Alex will join Muireann O'Connell and Martin King every month to "demystify the latest medical news".
The A&E doctor will make his first appearance on the show this evening on Virgin Media One, which airs weeknights at 6pm.
