Liam treats band mates to planetarium trip

Liam Gallagher took his band on a trip to a planetarium at the weekend.

The 40-year-old singer and his Beady Eye bandmates all went to The Royal Observatory and planetarium - an interactive map of the stars and planets - in London where they saw images from spacecraft and telescopes and learnt how objects have been landed on Mars.

An onlooker told the Daily Star newspaper: "It's not the place you'd expect to see a rock star like Liam. Perhaps he was getting inspiration for his music.

"Everyone was shocked when he swaggered through, looking mesmerised as he peered through the telescopes. He even got to see the birth of a star."

After his visit, the former Oasis singer headed to a pub where he told locals how much of a good time he'd had at the observatory and posed for pictures with fans.

Liam has previously said he is taking Beady Eye's music in a "psychedelic" direction, and looking at different influences when it has been time to record.

He said: "We've gone for the full Pink Floyd trip, man. There's the psychedelic stuff and then the rock 'n' roll bangers. Our producer Dave called up our manager and told him to get a brass band round sharpish one day.

"If it makes it a better record, I'm having it, man. I'm buzzing for it. It's going to blow people's minds."
