Kristen Stewart felt "maternal" filming 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part Two'.

The 22-year-old actress - whose character Bella Swan becomes a mother to Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy) with husband Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) - related to the "instinctive and protective" scenes with her on-screen daughter Mackenzie and especially enjoyed throwing co-star Taylor Lautner around set while defending her.

Speaking about the moment where she guards Renesmee from Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), Kristen said: "It was fun to throw Taylor around because Taylor's not only the best at getting thrown around, so I wasn't scared of hurting him, but it definitely makes you feel very empowered when you flick him and he flies across a forest.

"The cool thing about that moment was that it came from a very instinctive, protective, maternal … something that I've never experienced but I can feel it, having to play with it for a bit - I obviously don't have a child to protect, but I can sort of feel it."

The final film also takes a closer look at the vampire world and Hollywood hunk Robert believes this makes the film a lot more "interesting" for fans to watch.

He added to FlicksandBits.com: "The story spans the globe and encompasses many different characters, showing the variety of powers and abilities vampires can have.

"It shows a huge amount of the vampire world. It shows how many different powers and abilities vampire's can have. And is also it's about the fulfillment of Bella's character, first seeing her as a vampire is going to be a powerful moment. It's very interesting."

'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part Two' is in cinemas now.
