Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper are in talks to star in David O. Russell's new film.

The 'Silver Linings Playbook' stars have been tapped to reunite with the film's director in his upcoming feature, currently known as 'American Bulls**t', which follows a group of US congressmen who were killed in real-life 70s FBI sting Abscam, reports Deadline.

'The Dark Knight Rises' actor Christian Bale is also set to star, playing con man Melvin Weinberg who works scams in New Jersey along with his partner in crime and mistress, Maxine Gardner (Amy Adams).

Jennifer will play Christian's wife in the film, while Bradley will star as FBI agent Jimmy Boyle, who busts Melvin and Maxine and offers them a role in a sting to catch crooked agents and politicians.

Jeremy Renner and Louis C.K. are also on board the project, with other roles still being cast.

The film is being developed by Sony Pictures and will be produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle through Atlas Entertainment. Megan Ellison is also producing and has been developing the script through her company Annapurna Pictures.

Jennifer and Bradley will also star together in 'Serena', which is due for release later this year.
