'Geordie Shore' cast enjoy quiet Christmas

The 'Geordie Shore' cast won't be getting drunk over the festive period.

The party-mad reality stars are giving their livers a rest this Christmas and are surprisingly planning a quiet festive time filled with good food and close family in Newcastle.

James Tindale exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Do you know I don't even get drunk on Christmas? I get up in the morning, I go and pick my grandma up, my aunties, have a nice big meal and we'll all just chill out and watch a film."

The rowdy Geordies have had a hectic year filming two series of the hit MTV show and can't think of anything better than shunning public appearances and relaxing at home with their families.

James said: "We'll have work around the time, but I wouldn't want to spend the festive period anywhere else but at home with my family. I think it's the one day you need to spend at home."

Ricci Guarnaccio - who got engaged to co-star Vicky Pattison in Cancun this summer - added: "We're away all the time with interviews, Pas and photoshoots, so it's the one time that you want to just relax away from everything and spend time with your family and friends and just enjoy it."

However, they promise they'll be back on form in the new year and are planning to hit the town hard, with James looking further afield for nightlife opportunities.

He laughed: "New year is a different story; you've got to have a wild one. I want to go Thailand and go to a Full Moon party."
