Nicole Scherzinger has said that her former 'X Factor' contestants are like "best friends".
The 34-year-old singer has revealed her final three boys from last year - Jahmene Douglas, Rylan Clark and winner James Arthur - are still very close after having formed a bond and while she still helps them out in times of need, Nicole knows they are responsible enough to not worry about.
"They have genuinely amazing hearts and are like best friends - which says a lot as they're totally different. They text me so if they need me I'm there.
"They're young men now. They're grown up. I learned a lot from them and they learned a lot from me. They handled themselves very well.
"I've always tried to keep them level-headed and told them to stick to what's important. I tell them, 'Remember what you're here for and your purpose with your music.' "
After spending so much time in the UK since landing a spot as judge on the ITV singing competition, Nicole looks at the country as her "home away from home".
"London is my second home. It's my home away from home. I love the people, I love my work here, I love the architecture," she added in an interview with HELLO! Magazine.
"But the weather? That's the only thing I dislike. It's mucky. It's dreary. I understand the rain and snow, but that grey mush in the sky? It's like, 'What's that? The sky's depressed right now.' "
