Cher Lloyd announces engagement
'X Factor' star Cher Lloyd has become engaged to her boyfriend less than a year after they got together.
The singer, whose debut single went straight to the top of the charts last year, will marry hairdresser Craig Monk.
The 18-year-old started dating Monk, 21, last April. Last month, she denied he had popped the question after she was spotted flashing what appeared to be an engagement ring.
Lloyd, from Malvern, Worcestershire, was a finalist in the 2010 'X Factor' and was signed by Syco Music after coming fourth in the ITV1 talent show.
Her second single, 'With Ur Love', went to number four in the charts.
She is a regular on Twitter and has called for British government intervention to halt online bullying after she received a death threat via the social networking site in response to a birthday message she posted for her mother.
