Russell Brand has set up a yoga centre in his house.

The comedian has turned his $1.5 million Los Angeles bachelor pad into a meditation zone where he has invited up to 100 people all "filled with sexual energy" to practise his favourite Indian exercise and

wellbeing technique.

Speaking in an interview with The Sun newspaper, he said: "The yoga centre I had been going to sacked our instructor, so I have moved everyone into my house. I had 30 people doing it in my house.

"I had all the crew on my TV show doing yoga in the studio the other day too. There were 100 people doing it. It's not your normal yoga. It's like proper chanting, full-on stuff - not for the faint-hearted.

"It's full of amazing women. That's a fact. They are all filled with sexual energy. It has been brilliant."

Actress Demi Moore is one of Russell's regular guests and although the 37-year-old joker is currently single, he won't make a move on Demi - who is in the middle of divorcing Ashton Kutcher - and is more interested in pursuing the 60s 'free love' philosophy his favourite hobby has given him.

He explained: "Demi Moore, as far as anything more physical goes - she's just at yoga. I really like her, she's really lovely. I just see her at yoga. She's an older lady, she's incredibly beautiful but that's that.

"I like the yoga thing, it's the dawning of a wonderful new era. It's proving to be an interesting new phase for me - yoga, transcendental consciousness, meditation, good-looking people. It's the dawning of a new Sixties."

Former sex and drugs addict Russell was previously reported to have taken a yoga instructor's class with his own meditation guru Tej Kaur in the hopes of setting up his own "all-giving studio" to help homeless people and addicts in need of spiritual guidance.
