Bianca Jagger ring compensation case goes to court

Almost five years after Bianca Jagger lost a valuable ring while on a visit to Salzburg in Austria, the person who found it is bringing a battle for compensation before the courts.

Jagger was at a music festival when she lost the massive platinum and aquamarine sparkler estimated to be worth about €185,000.

Reinhard Ringler, who found the ring, is entitled under Austrian law to 5% of the ring's value as a reward for handing it in.

However, Jagger allegedly only offered Ringler €927 at the time.

He claims he is entitled to at least €9,000, and is suing Jagger for it.
