Ant and Dec are "definitely" returning to TV acting.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' co-hosts - who shot to fame as teen actors in cult drama 'Byker Grove', in which they played PJ and Duncan - have confirmed they are plotting a return to acting on the small screen starting with a Charlie Chaplin-inspired silent comedy show.
But first, the duo - who also starred in 2006 sci-fi comedy movie 'Alien Autopsy' - will return to TV screens with 'Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway' next month, and they admit filming the show is "great fun".
Ant said: "'Takeaway' is back next month so we are working on that in between doing this. It's all very exciting. We can't wait to bring it back, it's very exciting."
Dec added: "I find myself smiling every time we talk about it, it's looking like great fun."
While the 'I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!' co-hosts have been hugely successful throughout their TV career - such as winning Best Entertainment Presenter at the National Television Awards for 11 years running - Dec admits he would still love to play for his boyhood football team, Premiership strugglers Newcastle United.
Speaking at the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions at the London Palladium on Sunday, Dec joked: "I wouldn't mind playing up front for Newcastle United although I'm probably past that now.
"Although at the moment, who knows? There are still things we'd like to do but there's plenty of time I think. I hope."
Ant added: "Get your boots on!"
