A fire brigade in Australia has shared dramatic footage of its crews making a narrow escape while battling the bushfires which continue to rage across the country.
The three-minute video shows just how quickly the fires can spread - especially when winds are high.
According to the Dunmore Rural Fire Brigade (RFB), the fire hit the area 10 minutes earlier than had been forecasted due to a southerly wind.
The unexpected speed of the fire meant that the crew had to race into action to get themselves out of harm's way.
Within 20 seconds of the video starting, smoke can be seen billowing in from the right-hand side.
The crew can be seen from the dashcam footage, racing to their vehicles as the thick black smoke covers the sky.
Flames can be seen through the trees by the side of the road as the fire truck speeds away.
Fifteen to 20 seconds after the last car clears the area, the flames engulf the road where the crew had just been.
The camera continues to film as everything in sight is enveloped by the flames.
The brigade had been tasked with protecting property which is just out of shot to the left of the camera.
The Dunmore RFB say that the crew continued to battle the blaze for another nine minutes on the ground and managed to bring a "positive outcome" complete with a safe crew, protected truck and property saved.
The footage provided by Dunmore RFB from earleir this month provides a small snapshot of what fire and emergency crews in Australia have been facing as the wildfire crisis - which began in September continues.
It is reported that 30 people have dies since the fires began and more than 2,000 homes have been destroyed.
