Watch as people take on the tallest drop ride in the world

Would you go on the Drop of Doom?

Watch as people take on the tallest drop ride in the world

No. Nope. Nah. No thanks. Nevermind. No way. NEVER.

So the tallest drop ride n the world is now open to the public and even the video is making our stomachs churn.

The reassuringly-named 'Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom' at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey sends riders up 41 stories - 415 feet - before dropping them back down to Earth in about 30 seconds - reaching speeds of up to 90mph.

The ride stands taller than both Big Ben and the Statue of Liberty. As well as being pretty damn scary on its own , the three drop towers form the frame for the massive Kingda Ka rollercoaster which travels up to 126 miles per hour.

Well, they survived it anyway.

John Fitzgerald, the Six Flags president, explains what it's like.

"Now, I don’t know if anybody can really imagine what that’s really like to look down from 400 feet with just a harness holding you in place," he said.

"You get some fantastic views, but most folks have their eyes closed so they don’t get to take them in."

And this is the rollercoaster that the Drop of Doom is built on.
