Skibbereen Arts Festival 2018 is underway and, as always, has plenty to offer visitors over the course of the week.
This year is the 10th anniversary of the festival which sees the town of Skibbereen transformed into a hub of art, music, theatre and much more.
According to organisers, the main theme of the festival since its inception has been the positive effect the arts has on our mental health.
This year's theme is 'An Gorta Mór' and features a series of events to coincide with the visit to Skibbereen of the Coming Home: Art and the Great Hunger exhibit.
This year will also feature a series of Irish language events to mark Bliain na Gaeilge.
Speaking about what events are taking place this year, Brendan McCarthy, Chairperson of the Skibbereen Arts Festival, said: "There is loads happening in Skibbereen this week, great music, poetry, theatre, excellent art exhibitions around at 16 different locations.
"There is an art trail through the town which is well worth checking out.
"We have workshops, poetry readings and all kinds of stuff happening."
